Why our design works? +

Our NursesChoice LED face masks is engineered with 240 high-power, science backed bulbs, each built with one large professional diode to deliver maximum strength and skin penetration.

Our large diode design provides stronger, more even coverage - activating skin cells more effectively than standard LED masks with more LED's but smaller diodes. This ensures better light penetration for visible results in fewer sessions, while Infrared wavelengths can be used at the same time as red, blue, or yellow light to treat multiple skin layers at once.

What is the nurseschoice LED therapy face mask? +

The NursesChoice LED light therapy face mask is the first of its kind SAA approved mask in Australia that delivers all four clinically approved wavelengths of light at the highest proven output to achieve clinical results in the comfort of your own home.

What does SAA approval stand for? +

SAA Approval is accredited by the joint Accreditation Service of Australia and New Zealand (HAS-ANZ) as a third party certification body to issue certificates of approval for electrical equipment that has proven to comply with the safety requirements of the applicable standard.

Can I use the mask while moving around? +

The NursesChoice mask has been designed with optimal convenience. One of the many benefits of our led mask is that it is completely portable, travel friendly and easy to continue with your daily task while in use.

What's the difference between the medical grade chip and the 7 colour RGB chip? +

More colours does not mean a better mask.

Our 4 wavelength mask uses a medical-grade chip, while the seven-colour mask uses a RGB chip.

So what is the difference between these two? +

First of all, the medical grade chip requires that the wavelength of the chip should not exceed plus or minus 5 nanometers to achieve the therapeutic effect of specific bands. This is why the NursesChoice has separate chips for each light. While the seven colour masks use the same LED for all colours, meaning the chip does not exactly emit the correct wavelength needed for all therapeutic outcomes.

Why is the four chip better then the single chip? +

The effectiveness of the light on the skin depends first on the wavelength and secondly on the energy of the power of the light. Although it may seem like it can use multiple wavelengths simultaneously, in reality, each wavelengths chip receives very little energy, resulting in much poorer results compared to four-chip setup.

Do I need to clean the mask? How do I clean it? +

Before each use clean both sides of the mask with a water-based wipe or damp clean cloth.

Why do the red and near-infrared light turn on at the same time? +

Near-infrared light is not visible on the light spectrum therefore it is not a colour that can be seen with the naked eye. Not only so it can be physically seen, but also because published studies have shown that when red and near-infrared lights are used together more significant outcomes are achieved

Is LED safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding? +

LED light therapy is generally considered a low-risk, non-invasive skincare technology. However, because clinical research during pregnancy and breastfeeding is limited, we always recommend consulting with your doctor or healthcare provider before use.

If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or under medical care, we suggest using LED only with professional guidance for complete peace of mind.

Can LED help products absorb better? +

Yes. LED therapy supports healthy cellular activity and circulation, which can improve overall skin function.

When paired with the right skincare (especially hydrating serums), LED can enhance the effectiveness of your routine by supporting healthier, more responsive skin.

What skincare should I use before LED? +

For best results, we recommend starting with clean, dry skin. Apply a simple, hydrating serum (such as Hyaluronic Acid) after your session to support comfort, glow, and enhanced results.

Avoid heavy moisturisers, oils, or occlusive products prior to LED, as they can interfere with light penetration.

Why is Hyaluronic Acid recommended with LED? +

Hyaluronic Acid is the perfect companion to LED because it deeply hydrates and supports the skin barrier while LED works at a cellular level.

Together, they help promote:

  • Plumper, healthier skin
  • Improved glow
  • Better resilience during repair

Hydration is essential for optimal LED results.

How often should I use the HA serum? +

You can use the NursesChoice Hyaluronic Acid Serum daily, and it is especially recommended after each LED session.

Most clients apply it:

  • Morning or night
  • After LED use
  • Whenever skin feels dry or sensitised
Is the HA serum suitable for sensitive or compromised skin? +

Yes. Hyaluronic Acid is one of the most universally tolerated ingredients and is ideal for sensitive, reactive, or post-treatment skin.

If you are managing a medical skin condition, we recommend patch testing first or seeking personalised advice.

Why is the subscription sent every month? +

A one delivery cycle aligns with consistent LED routines and ensures you always have fresh serum available to support your results.

Subscriptions are designed to be effortless, flexible, and supportive of long-term skin consistency.

Is LED safe for all skin tones? +

Yes. LED light therapy is generally considered safe for all skin tones because it does not rely on heat or melanin-targeting energy (unlike some laser treatments).

NursesChoice devices are designed for gentle, skin-supportive wavelengths suitable across a wide range of complexions.

Are there any contraindications for LED use? +

Some individuals should avoid LED therapy unless medically approved, including those with:

  • Light sensitivity disorders
  • Epilepsy triggered by light
  • Active skin infections
  • Certain autoimmune conditions

Always consult your healthcare provider if unsure

Can I use LED if I’m on medication? +

Some medications increase sensitivity to light. If you are on prescription medication (particularly acne treatments or certain antibiotics), please check with your doctor before starting LED therapy.

Why is consistency more important than intensity? +

LED works through cumulative cellular stimulation. Regular use over time produces the best results because skin responds gradually through repair, collagen support, and inflammation reduction.

Short, consistent sessions always outperform occasional intense use.

What happens if I miss sessions? +

Missing a session won’t undo your progress, but consistent use is key for long-term results.

Simply resume your routine when you can. LED is a supportive, ongoing practice.

How does LED support professional treatments? +

LED is commonly used in clinics post-treatment because it helps:

  • Calm inflammation
  • Support healing
  • Enhance collagen stimulation
  • Improve recovery time

At home, it helps maintain professional results longer.

Can LED replace in-clinic treatments? +

LED is an incredible at-home tool, but it does not replace professional treatments.

Instead, it complements them by extending results, improving skin health between appointments, and supporting long-term glow.
